Geoffrey T. Lewis

/Biography

Greetings and salutations,

My name is Geoffrey T. Lewis.

A little about me. I joined the US Navy out of high school and was a proud member of the fleet for six years. While enlisted, I operated as a photojournalist where I was able to see and experience so much of the world. One of my main duties was documenting deployment life, the various cultures we were exposed to around the world, and sharing the deeds and adventures of my shipmates with their families back home. I love to reminisce about these times and although I've experienced a lot, I still have much to learn about myself and the world around me.

After returning home, and while readjusting to civilian life, I realized I wanted more. Eventually I took advantage of benefits I’d earned and went back to school. The first step was acquiring my associates degree from Everett Community College. This was followed by my pursuit of a Bachelors of Arts with a focus on strategic integrated communication through the Edward R. Murrow School of Communication at Washington State University.

Now I do photography as more of a hobby, but truly enjoy helping others share their vision of the world around them and helping them find ways to express themselves through visual art. Whether this is from taking a photo or teaching others to capture better ones themselves, this is my passion.

I've recently become a licensed drone pilot as well and try to find any excuse to fly.

I truly enjoy all aspects of photography; whether it's providing guidance on someone's next camera selection, working on a new project (whether on my own or with others), or spending the day capturing the world around me as I see it. My absolute favorite, however, is showing people how to better capture their view of the world so they can share it others.
